Making Progress
Here's a quick update on each of my classes.
World History Standard. The class just completed a group activity over ancient irrigation methods used in Mesopotamia. We will learn about the differences between Mesopotamia and Egypt in the coming week. (The first quiz of the year did not go well. Despite telling the students which questions would be on the test in advance, the majority of the class did not pass. Please emphasize the importance of studying at home.
World History Honors: The class just completed a challenging assignment. The Epic of Gilgamesh paper was designed to give the students some practice in thinking abstractly. The level of difficulty for this assignment was extremely high and students should not be concerned if they found this assignment to be very challenging. The two quizzes that the class has taken have gone well. The first test will be next week.
Psychology: The class had it's first test of the semester today. We've just finished the introductory unit to the course and we are now moving into development. Students who scored below an 80 on this test are encouraged to see me for help.
